I figured this was such a signicant price reduction that it warranted some exposure on the new items pages again.

This is a very seldom seen 1/3 scale Winchester Model 1866 saddle ring carbine by master miniature maker David Kucer of Montreal, Canada. 13 1/8" long overall with a 6 1/2" long barrel. Brass frame, sideplates, buttplate and buttplate trap door. Blue barrel, magazine, barrel bands, rear sight, saddle ring, saddle ring stud, lever lock, and screws. Casecolored hammer, lever, and trigger. Fully functional. Two leaf flip carbine rear sight. The four piece steel cleaning rod is included in the trapdoor compartment in the buttstock. The makers name stamped into the lower tang. The brass has aged nicely and looks like a vintage Winchester 1866 should! Nice straight grain oil finished walnut stock and forearm with just a little figure in the buttstock. Serial #2 marked on the front bottom of the frame just behind the forearm.  Complete with the original Kucer walnut hinged top casing, French fit with a dark red velour lining.  The front of the casing with two slide latches.  The top right front of the lid inlaid with a brass plaque with the Kucer logo.  The interior velour with some staining, probably from excess oil.  This is the first one of these I've ever had the pleasure to handle. A real masterpiece!

This is a spectacular 1/4 scale miniature Russian snow Maxim heavy machine gun made by Miniart in Russia in 1994.  This thing is just unbelievable!!!  Measures 15 1/4" long overall with a 7 3/8" barrel and 2 15/16" diameter wood spoke wheels.  The finish is white paint, blue steel, and bright in the white steel.  100% fully functional and it will feed, chamber, extract, & eject the included solid steel dummy cartridges.  The top of each grip handle unscrews to reveal a cleaning brush.  The rear sight has the graduated distance markings.  The top cover marked with a 5 point Russian star, 1994, and 0006 which is the serial number.  There were a total of 14 of these Maxims made of which 7 were the white show Maxims.  The others were olive drab green.  The snow Maxims have a large lid on top of the water jacket secured with a bail type latch.  This was so that snow or ice could be put into the cooling jacket when temperatures were below freezing.  Almost mint perfect condition with just a couple of tiny handling mark chips in the white paint.  The blue steel absolutely mint.  Complete with a green canvas ammo belt with brass tabs and rivets, and eight dummy cartridges.  One of the finest miniature firearms to ever come out of Russia.  It if could afford it, I'd keep it for myself!!!

This antique miquelet flinlock pistol was awarded a NRA silver medal at the 138th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits May 17th, 2009.

This is absolutely one of the finest miniature firearms I have ever had the joy to handle!  An exquisit antique miquelet flintlock pistol probably made between 1680 and 1720.  Unmarked, maker unknown, but probably Italian.  4 5/16" long overall with a 2 1/2" smoothbore barrel of about .22 caliber.  The stock is gold plated brass.  The steel lockplate and barrel are highly polished and finished in a bright fire blue.  The balance of the steel parts are finished in the white.  Exceptional workmanship with beautiful executed engraving on the hammer, pan, frizzen, triggerguard, hammer spring, frizzen spring, and nosecap.  This exact piece pictured in Louis Winant's book "Firearms Curiosa" on page 44, plate 37, and written about on page 42 when it was a part of the Dr. W. R. Funderburg collection.  This book was first published in 1955.  Winant's description is as follows: "At the top of the uncased pistols is a very fine all-metal piece with a beautifully executed miquelet lock.  The copper hue of the frame, the bright steel of the lock, the intense blue of the barrel, combine to make this outstanding.  The piece is 4 1/4" overall".   I also have an old black & white photo from the 1976 NRA Annual Convention that shows this exact piece when it was in the Robert Ables Collection and another black & white photo of this piece at the 1967 NRA Annual Convention when it was in the Sam Weill collection.  I am also told it was at one time in the Harry Knode collection.  The person I bought it from bought it from Dr. Paul Kopsch several years ago, so this piece has been in some of the finest miniature collections ever to exist!  Complete with a slide lock walnut casing, French fit with a olive green felt lining.

This is a neat 1/2 scale Wesson swivel barrel derringer by master miniature maker Larry Smith of Florida.  2 1/2" long overall with 1 1/4" barrels. Nicely engraved brass frame & backstrap. The barrels engraved and nickel plated.  The trigger, barrel release, & hammer blued.  Polished in the white hammer and trigger pins. Pin type front sights. Serrated trigger front and checkered hammer spur.  Nicely aged and figured elephant ivory two piece grips.  The correct Wesson barrel address marked on the side of one of the barrels. L.H. Smith marked on top of one of the barrels. The serial #, 84, stamped into the left side of the frame near the lower rear barrel.  In between the barrels is a sliding double edged dagger.  There is a small button that slides the dagger out where it locks in place.  The dagger release is at the front of the barrels at the dagger's base.  Cased in the original Larry Smith walnut casing which is maker marked and serial numbered to the miniature, and also marked "E" for engraved. The push button latch hinged top case with burgundy felt lining and includes a nice blue cleaning rod with brass handle and eight miniature rimfire dummy cartridges with impressed H headstamps.  There is some wear to the blue finish on the sides of the trigger and hammer.  A nice piece as not all of Larry's Wesson derringers had the dagger.  See the one I have on Revolvers page 8.
