!!!!!ON HOLD!!!!!

This is an unusual 1/2 scale miniature Remington Vest Pocket Derringer by master miniature maker Daniel Osterman of Oregon. 2 1/16" long overall with a 1 5/8" long rifled barrel. Steel parts finished in the white with the exception of the checkered hammer spur which is blued. Both sides of the frame nicely engraved in scrolls with excellent background work. Great two piece elephant ivory grips showing nice grain and just a little age patina. What's unusual about this piece is the ivory bead front sight. I've never seen another one like this. Serial # "1" engraved on the bottom of the barrel just ahead of the trigger. Complete with the original Osterman green cardboard lift top box with green velour lined walnut block insert and Osterman lid label.  I've never seen another of the wood block boxes that were lined like this one.  A special piece, possibly for the maker's own collection and direct from the Osterman estate.
